Allergy drops (sublingual)

Allergy drops, or sometimes called Sublingual Immunotherapy (or SLIT), is a form of immunotherapy in which drops or tablets of an allergen can be placed under the tongue in order to develop tolerance.

This option is generally best for those with allergies to a relatively few allergens or those who do not tolerate allergy shots. An additional benefit is that these can be generally administered at home, although there still remains a risk of anaphylaxis.
